Title: Teacher

Work site: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Duties: Ensures welfare, safety and educational achievements of assigned students.  Maintains a clean, orderly and attractive Montessori environment for their classroom, including upkeep and inventory of materials. Prepares lesson plans for assigned class in accordance with AMI standards and Montessori philosophy. Attends appropriate faculty meetings, in-services, and school events. Plans and executes age appropriate activities to help meet child developmental needs. Collaborates with Teacher Assistants to facilitate daily lesson plans and activities for students. Completes and maintains all records, reports, evaluations, inventories, and student records and evaluations in a timely manner as required by the school. Facilitates parent-teacher conferences, meetings and communication throughout the school year in accordance with the school policy.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any field, AMI Montessori Diploma ages 3-6 years old and at least 1 year of Montessori teaching experience, including implementing Montessori curriculum and guiding children ages 3 to 6 in a classroom setting.
