Toddler Preschool
Montessori ONE’s Toddler program works with children ages 18 months through three years. Guides demonstrate Montessori fundamentals that will prepare Toddlers for a successful Montessori education. Montessori’s Universal Values, Freedom Within Limits, Prepared Environment, Practical Life, and curriculum “Works” are introduced. As with all authentic Montessori programs, students interact in a mixed-age group environment that provides younger students with positive role models and exposure to higher levels of learning, while older Toddlers begin development of early leadership skills. For more information on the Preschool program, please visit our Preschool Curriculum and Environment pages.
Primary Preschool
The Montessori tenants continue in the Primary Preschool program. The Primary program serves children ages three through six. Montessori’s Universal Values, Freedom Within Limits, Prepared Environment, Practical Life, and curriculum “Works” continue at a more complex level. With the use of specific Montessori materials, language development and mathematic capabilities bloom. It is common to see Primary students spelling, writing in cursive, executing the four main mathematical functions, effectively problem solving, and becoming increasingly curious and enthusiastic about learning. An abundance of natural light, child-sized furniture and materials, organized and clutter-free spaces give children a calm, peaceful, and inspiring environment to learn.
What People Say About Us
"First you are captivated by the brand new, bright, state-of-the-art facility itself. Then you are captivated by the director, Tina Patel, and her obvious passion for children, for education, and for using design and environment to enhance the "Prepared Environment" which is a cornerstone of the Montessori approach to education. If you happen to come by for a tour at the right time, you may even catch a glimpse of the preschool yoga class!"

"I wanted to send you a note of appreciation for the opportunity to learn about the "how and why" behind what Ms. Jodi is doing in her classroom. She has always been helpful with ideas and advice to help me communicate better with Riley when I've expressed challenges we've faced. We've incorporated a lot of the classroom routine into our home life in an effort to make Riley's world consistent and give her the same opportunities for independence and learning at home as she has at school. Never would I have thought a 2-year-old was capable of this level of responsibility and independence prior to seeing what she has accomplished in your school. Thank you, to you and Jodi. I realize that both of us attend and learn from your school and I look forward to participating in future opportunities you provide parents to learn more about your approach."

"My wife and I enrolled our three year old son in the program at Montessori ONE halfway through the academic year, depressed and discouraged by his experience in another school where he had suffered for want of stimulation, for want of the nurturing structure of a genuine Montessori program. In less than a week at Montessori ONE we had our old boy back -- and more, much more! He was talking and singing and teaching us yoga. He was excited about school again, eager each day to reunite with his teachers and classmates. Since then, we have been deeply impressed by the professionalism of both Montessori ONE Director, Tina Patel, and her teachers, by the depth of their training, and by their obvious love of children. One has only to see the building itself to appreciate the scope of Tina's vision for the school. The instant one crosses the threshold there one feels at peace, at home."
