The Montessori Environment

Montessori ONE Academy’s custom-designed buildings are modern, comfortable, and filled with natural light. The open concept and modular floor plans in Montessori classrooms encourage exploration, independence, and collaboration. Children work on floor mats and small tables. Guides provide lessons individually or in small groups. Children learn the importance of set up, clean up, organization, and collaboration. As children age through the programs and demonstrate greater responsibility, they are afforded greater freedoms to explore and study in all areas of the academy. Students enjoy a variety of playgrounds appropriate to their program, as well as, an opportunity to participate in gardening and caring for the school’s chicken coop.
